We are looking for a motivated Associate QA Engineer to join our Managed Kubernetes team. In this role, you will help ensure the quality and reliability of our Kubernetes platform by supporting clear requirements, test planning, and acceptance criteria. You’ll work closely with developers and product owners to establish what “done” means for new features, and ensure that releases meet both functional and non-functional expectations.
Tasks
- Collaborate with the team to define testable requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Review and validate user stories to ensure they are clear, consistent, and verifiable.
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and QA documentation.
- Verify that implemented features meet agreed acceptance criteria before release; Track, prioritize, and report defects to the development team.
- Support the release process by ensuring quality checks are completed; Contribute to the improvement of QA processes and workflows.
- Assist in developing and maintaining basic automated regression or smoke tests where appropriate; Continuously learn about Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies to better support the QA process.
Qualifications
- 0–2 years of experience in software testing, QA, or related technical role.
- Basic understanding of QA methodologies (functional, regression, acceptance, exploratory testing); Familiarity with writing acceptance criteria or test cases.
- Understanding of software development lifecycles (Agile, Scrum, or Kanban).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot gaps or inconsistencies in requirements; Basic familiarity with Linux and command-line tools.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn about Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to containers (Docker) and Kubernetes basics.
- Experience using issue tracking/project management tools (e.g., Jira, GitHub Projects).
- Some knowledge of automated testing frameworks or scripting (Go, Python, Bash).
- Interest in observability and monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana).
- ISTQB certification or similar QA foundation training.
