Aircraft Doors Mechanism Designer (d/f/m)

Our team is responsible for developing the largest ever commercial freighter Main Deck Cargo Door and Door Surround Structure and we take full advantage of our end-to-end responsibility for the doors design and integration, covering the architecture, integration, design, stress, qualification, certification and testing of our products.
As part of our “Make” design concept, we are also responsible for delivering the detailed design for our manufacturing partners and Suppliers, as well as for the support of our production lines.
As Mechanism Design engineer you will be working on developing the innovative mechanism (Airbus Patent) working across boundaries (design, stress, ME, M&P, industrial) and securing the delivery of engineering deliverables.

Your tasks and responsibilities
You design, validate and release aircraft doors mechanism components and assemblies
You develop optimized design in terms of weight, cost, performance and production / assembly requirements while ensuring the highest level of safety of the product
You develop product improvement proposals and drive them through the aircraft change process
You coordinate engineering suppliers and subcontractors
You manage mechanism qualification activities
You align with key stakeholders (manufacturing partners, chief engineering, program management, customer service, etc.)
Desired skills and qualifications
You hold a degree in Aircraft Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
You have advanced skills in using CATIA V5 for Kinematics
Proven experience with the development of passengers and cargo doors would be a plus
Knowledge and experience with the aircraft development, manufacturing and certification process would be a plus
Experience in Tolerancing & Build Concept would be a plus
Basic knowledge of composite design principles would be a plus
You are motivated to work effectively within transnational and multi-functional teams
You enjoy a high level of ownership and have a proactive way of communication
Your English is on negotiation level - German and/or Spanish skills would be advantageous
